Smile Jamaica

On a whim, I decided to surprise a special lady, Ms. Anna Cunningham, on her trip to Jamaica. A couple months ago Anna was invited to a wedding at Sandals Jamaica and I was also invited to come along. At the time, I knew that I was getting chemo the week before the trip, so I did not think I was going to be up to traveling that next weekend. However, my recent chemo treatments have been very stress free and I have had no side effects, so I decided to take a little vacation and go to Jamaica. I need to thank the two getting married Amanda and Chris for letting me go on such short notice. I really appreciate you getting back to me so quickly and letting me get to enjoy your very intimate and special occasion.

I really don’t have much to say on the trip because it was so short. I did a lot of laying around and reading, which was perfect for me. We stayed at Sandals, which is an all inclusive resort. The place was gorgeous, but many more older couples because of how expensive the resort is. Two things I came away from the weekend. One, chemo and the sun do not mix well. You will get sunburned way quicker and way worse than on a normal day sitting in the sun. I know from this weekend. Two, I wouldn’t have wanted or want to spend any time in Jamaica without the only woman in my life that I care about. Thank you Anna for letting me go and putting up with me for the couple of days. I hope you enjoyed yourself as much as I did.
